  • Aleksandar Mitrovic joined Partizan and progressed through their youth system. 
  • He made his senior debut with Teleoptik in the 2011-12 season, where he netted seven goals in 25 league games. 
  • Then, on 27 June 2012, he inked his first pro deal with Partizan for four years. 
  • His official debut for the club came in a Champions League qualifier against Valletta, where he scored a goal just nine minutes after coming on as a substitute.


  • On August 12, 2013, it was confirmed that Mitrovic was sold to Anderlecht for €5 million, with the player and his family's approval.
  • He officially joined them on August 30. In his debut season, he netted 16 league goals, helping Anderlecht secure their 33rd league title. 
  • Mitrovic kicked off the 2014–15 season by scoring in Anderlecht's 2–1 Super Cup victory over K.S.C. Lokeren.

Newcastle United

  • On 21 July 2015, Mitrovic signed a five-year deal with Newcastle United for £13 million. 
  • His debut came on 9 August, in a 2-2 draw against Southampton, where he replaced Papiss Cissé for the final 15 minutes. 
  • On 3 October, he netted his first goal against Manchester City, though it was in a 6-1 loss. 
  • Then, on 7 January 2017, he started in the FA Cup third-round match against Birmingham City but got injured in the buildup to Daryl Murphy's opening goal.


  • On February 1, 2018, Mitrovic joined Fulham on loan for the season, scoring 12 goals but missing automatic promotion on the final day. 
  • On July 30, he signed permanently for £22 million, with the potential to rise to £27 million, securing a five-year contract until June 2023. 
  • He extended his deal to June 2024 on July 9, 2022. In Fulham's 2022-23 Premier League opener on August 6, Mitrovic netted both goals in a 2-2 draw against Liverpool. 
  • However, on March 19, during the FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United, he was red-carded for arguing with and pushing referee Chris Kavanagh, along with teammate Willian and manager Marco Silva. 
  • Unfortunately, on April 21, 2023, the FA's appeal was rejected.
