Luis Diaz is a Colombian professional footballer. He currently plays as a winger for Premier League club Liverpool and the Colombia national team. As of January 2022, He is ranked the #no. 1 football player of Colombia and also ranked among the most creative playmaker in the EPL. He is regarded as one of the best midfielders or wingers in the modern football world.

Diaz began his professional career in the Colombian Second Division at Barranquilla, before moving to Junior, winning Categoría Primera A, one Copa Colombia, and one Superliga Colombiana. In 2019, he joined Primeira Liga side Porto FC, one Taça de Portugal, and one Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, while being part of the squad that won a domestic double in 2020.

Diaz made his full international debut on 11 September 2018 replacing Juan Cuadrado in a 0–0 draw against Argentina at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He scored his first international goal on 26 March 2019, equalizing in a 2–1 friendly loss away to South Korea. He was part of Carlos Queiroz's 23-man squad for the 2019 Copa América in Brazil and 2021 as well.

Diaz was born into a poor family. At the moment, the information about his parents is unknown. But it is assumed that the winger was raised in a poor community of the Wayuu people.
