  • Scott McTominay kicks off his football career at the youth academy of Manchester United from 2002 until 2017.
  • He was then associated with the Manchester United academy from the age of 5 after attending the club's development center in Preston and was nurtured by Sir Alex Ferguson who took care of him like his very own.
  • Having played as a center-forward in the earlier years of his youth career, he later converted to a central midfield role and signed his first professional contract in July 2013.
  • He made seven appearances for the U18s between 2013 and 2015 but struggled with his relatively small size due to a lack of growth.
  • He sadly missed most of the 2014-2015 season due to injuries relating to growth and development issues. Serve growth spurt meant Scott McTominay grew 14 inches within two years. A miracle came after intensive treatment and rehab.
